This piece was inspired by Albert Bierstadt from "Among the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California." |
Albert Bierstadt
The artist inspiration I chose for my piece is Albert Bierstadt, an German American painter that's best known for his large landscapes of the American West. Bierstadt was born in Solingen. The movements Bierstadt uses for his paintings are "Hudson River School, Romanticism, and luminism." I chose Bierstadt as an inspiration is because his most famous painting,"Among the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California." was what inspired me to do my piece. The oil painting shows a small lake with trees on the right and mountains on the, on that mountains shows a waterfall, next to the lake is a family of deers and out in the distance are more mountains being shine on by the sun and clouds |
Planning
Reflection
This assignment wasn't easy for me because I was having a hard time with coming up with creative ideas for both Positive and Negative final piece, not only that but have based off my inspiration as well but even after finishing with everything I am I disappointed on how it turn out in the end. The thing I regret the most is that I was more creative with adding more details to the piece. The best part about the project is the mountains out in the distance but what I don't like about it is the sky, I wish I put a few clouds in the sky instead of a simple blue sky. The texture is smooth, the color is solid, and the lines are strong. |
